A pleasant little house in the charming resort of Haapsalu, in the old part of the city center which is dominated by small wooden houses. It is located in the center of town with something of a village feeling and on a quiet street. The coast and beach are also not far away. Renovation, preserving the original charm, was completed in 2004. Both decoration and furniture are well chosen to match the style of the house. In the rather large garden there is plenty of room for relaxing and for your children to play. Pleasant and charming are words that describe this house well.
There are many small rooms in the house, two of them can be called living-rooms and in the center of the house there is a kitchen and dining-room (not separated by any wall). Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and is a “real” bedroom. Bedroom 2 on the 1st floor (low ceiling) is actually the whole 1st floor and holds 2 beds while the rest of this space is used for relaxation or childrens’s play. There are games and toys in the house, both for indoor and outdoor use. The house is approved for a maximum of 4 adults plus 2 children. The children must then share the living-room sofa-bed. Alternatively a 5th adult can use this sofa-bed.
There are also 4 bicycles at your disposal.
Haapsalu is a great choice for those looking for peace and quiet but still with comfortable access to service, restaurants and beach. In Haapsalu town are two smaller beaches, both approximately 1 kilometer from the house. Right outside town, or some 2-3 kilometers from the house, there is a beautiful, long sand beach, well suited for children. In the summertime many cultural events are held in Haapsalu and there are several small and interesting museums. The great castle ruins in the center of town are worth a trip by themselves. There is a good spa. There are lots of sights around Haapsalu, birdwatchers are recommended a visit to the famous Matsalu national park 20 km south of town. There are ferries to Hiiumaa and Vormsi island from a port 10 km from Haapsalu – especially Hiiumaa is a must.
Haapsalu is a resort with traditions from the 19th century. Today there are several modern spas with saunas, pools, beauty parlors, work-out and more. A lot of different treatments for health improvement, beauty and just relaxing can be ordered at most reasonable prices, for instance lasr treatment, light theraphy and massage.
