600 meters from the sea in Matsalu national park, famous for its’ rich birdlife, we find this large and comfortable house in extraordinarily beautiful scenery and private location. All necessary equipment and some extra is available in and around the house. From the second floor balconies you can really enjoy the view of the sea. There is sauna.
The house has two floors, with kitchen, shower-room, wc and living-room on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second. All bedrooms have balcony. 3 of the single bed are what we call 1,5-person-beds – wider than normal single beds but not quite enough to count as double beds. They are good for two children and OK for two adults how are slim and undemanding. A couple of folding beds can be arranged so that 5 adults and 4 children can stay here comfortably. There is a sauna-house some 10 meters from the main house and a outdoor shower for cooling off after the sauna. This sauna has electrical heating.
The distance to Virtsu, with harbour for Saaremaa ferries, is some 23 km and in Virtsu you also find a medium-sized store, a bar and a restaurant/cafeteria. A small store is located 10 m from the house and a childfriendly beach is situated some 7-8 km away. In Haapsalu, some 70 km from the house you find all services and goods you could need and several fine sights. It takes approx. 1,5 hours to reach Tallinn by car.
The owners of this house has their own little farmstead some 100 meters from the house and otherwise there are no neighbours within sight and sound. On the owners’ farm you may use the firewood sauna with its’ pond for an additional fee. Normally there are also 5 bicycles (3 for adults, 2 for children) at disposal, but this is not guaranteed but depends on their being in order when you arrive. Birdwatchers will of course enjoy spring here, but also September, when storks gather around the house, preparing for the flight south.
