Large and pleasant house on Saaremaa island’s southern peninsula of Sõrve. The location is private and very beautiful on a beachfront property. On the ground floor there is a large room where you can even arrange a private party, large table and lots of chairs. The kitchen is also on the ground floor as are bathroom and wc. The bedrooms are on the second floor.
On the Sõrve peninsula’s southern tip you find Saaremaa’s largest light-house, harbour with ferry connection to Ventspils in Latvia and a nature reserve with particularly rich bird-life. Here you can also go looking for the remains of soviet military bases, but watch out that you don’t fall into any abandoned missile silo. There is also a good fish restaurant here serving fresh fish (but only open in the summer). To Saaremaa’s “capital” Kuressaare it is some 37 kilometers.
The beach right by the house is ok for swimming, at least for non-fussy adults. A better place for swimming is some 2 kilometers away and for a real beautiful beach you should go the approx. 25 kilometers to Mändjala, near Kuressaare.
