On Estonia’s northern shore, on the gulf of Finland and about an hours drive from Tallinn, in the national park of Lahemaa we offer this cosy 2 floor wood cabin. The cabin is situated in the little village of Leesi. Already on the way to the cabin you will experience beautiful nature and realize why this area is protected as a national park, you will drive along the shore and see the sea on several occasions. The cabin is built in 2003 and sits only some 100 meters from he shore.

You find a beautiful white beach approximately 1 km from the cabin.

On the ground floor there’s a living-room and kitchen with dining table – all in open-plan solution. The kitchen is well equipped (see above). The water is somewhat brownish and its’ recommended to use the available filter jug before using the water for cooking. For drinking, we recommend bottled water from the store. The living-room features a sofa-bed for two people and a fireplace for cozy enjoyment on a chilly evening. Sauna and bathroom are also on the ground floor.

On the second floor there’s a large double bed and one more fireplace. Two additional sleeping places can be arranged here with mattresses on the floor. Around the cabin an open lawn/garden. The nearest store is just some 500 meters from the cabin and in the village is also a public internet access point.

Fishing is a possibility nearby and there are hiking trails not far away, for exploring the national park. The little villages along the coast are well worth exploring, there are several nearby and a little further away you reach well-known villages such as the “captain’s village” Käsmu with a small maritime museum, the popular resort Võsu, the traditional fishermens’ village Altja, with a little open-air museum and a famous old-style traditional country-side pub and Viinistu with a rather large art museum (mainly Estonian art). The nearest larger towns are Loksa, 17 km away and Kuusalu, 20 km away.

The Estonians say that he who once had his vacation on the north shore will always come back.
