Cozy two-floor house located near the sea in the quite silent place in Saulkrasti. Deal for family or almost two families with children. The house is only 400 m from sandy beach. The house is built in the 60ies, and renovated in 2007 making the decoration a charming mix of original 60ies in good condition and modern comfort. A lot the furniture is new. In the first floor there is kitchen with necessary things (like hotplate, microwave oven etc.) for preparation of meals, wide living room with fire place and 2 bed rooms (one bigger with wide double bed beside the living room and other smaller beside the kitchen), as well as wc and bath room. In the second floor there are two more bedrooms. The house is located a little bit outskirts of Saulkrasti, so you will be protected from the tourists’ rised hustle. As Saulkrasti is very famous place for rest there is a lot of cafes and restaurants. Nearest summer cafe is located only around 400 m away. Saulkrasti is popular among between local and foreign tourists as the town famous for its beautiful, virgin nature and beaches, as a nice place to spend a summertime. Saulkrasti has excellent beaches including the sunset trail. The sand beaches run Northto South providing for excellent Sunsets. The city motto "The town closer to the Sun. Town which carries the name of the Sun". Since beginning of the 19th century Neibade (this was the name of Saulkrasti in that time) was popular place by the sea for rest among german barons. Town is located arround 50 km from Riga. Between Saulkrasti and Riga there is regular train connections – to reach Riga you will spend less than one hour. Only 1,5 km for the house there is very nice sunset trail which winds away sea coast and ends with White dune (Baltâ kâpa) (18m high sandstoune rock covered partly with sand, on the top there is located an observation tower) – trail is 3,6 km long. Approximatelly 4,5 km way there is located Saulkrasti Bicycle Museum - the only collection of historic bicycles in Latvia. 16 km north by VIA Baltica road in Dunte is the Munchausen’s Museum – an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to the King of Fantasy as Mr. Hieronim Karl Friedrich von Minhauzen (1720-1797) was called. The wax figures exhibition features the important personalities from the Latvian history. Munchausen’s trail is 5,3 km long. It’s the longest footbridge of aspen plank in Europe. Sigulda and its surroundings is the most popular tourist area where you can enjoy a rare combination of medieval castles, picturesque hilly landscapes (with a river running amidst sandy caves), a sculpture park and flowers that are already extinct in most countries of Europe.
