The view you will have while sipping your evening tea and enjoying sunset on the balcony of this house will resemble closely the one the ancient Livs’ chiefs enjoyed from their castle mounds many years ago. The vast meadow below the house, bushes and even the odd roe that has come to have its evening meal in the meadow – it is difficult really to imagine anything more relaxing for a nice evening. All of this you will have for free when you come to stay in this spacious (320 sq.m.) house.

The house has three floors: on the ground floor there is a sizeable hall; a glass porch; a fully equipped kitchen and a twin bedroom, the beds in which can be pushed together making one large bed, as well as a bathroom that is suitable also for people with impaired mobility.

The first floor of the house has additional four bedrooms and four bathrooms all of which have WC and two have also a shower. (NB! Please note that due to technical reasons only three bedrooms and two bathrooms are listed on our website). The basement floor of the house has a sauna with an anteroom; and a room for doing the laundry, with washing machine.

Eight kilometres south of the house there is the Birinu Castle. You can find out more about it on their website.

The lovers of nature will appreciate most certainly the Ledurga’s Dendrological Park, which is situated 11 km east of the house and which is one of the richest parks in Latvia with regard to diversity of plants. The vast territory has approx. 1000 different species and kinds of ornamental plants and bushes: magnolias, rhododendrons, smoke tree, walnuts, thuyas, etc.

Approx. 17 km away west (by country roads only 14 km away) there is Saulkrasti, the popular resort town which is famous for its sandy beaches.

Approx. 30 km away south lays Sigulda. The town and its surroundings is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Latvia because there is the loved-by-tourists Turaida Castle; various other places if interest (for instance, the many sandstone caves); for people who enjoy a more active lifestyle, there is the adventure park Mezakakis, which is situated on the forest hillside of the primeval valley of Gauja. Little platforms are made on growing trees in various heights and between any two platforms miscellaneous ropes, nets, many kinds of little bridges, swings, logs and ladders are secured. Altogether, 46 barriers are mounted, which are then rated in paths of four levels of difficulty – starting from those that can be used by small children (height from 110 cm up) up to adults.
