Riksu is a small village on the west coast of Saaremaa, approximately two 2 kilometers from the sea. Here this cottage was completed in 2003. The cottage has many beds, usually 7+1 but on request additional beds can be placed in the cottage (at the expense of the sofas). The decoration is of high standard and feels new. Next to the small kitchen is a dining-room with a fireplace. The dining room also serves as a living room, but there is also a sitting-room with two sofas. The sitting-room sofas will be replaced by beds if you are many people. This room has many windows. Please observe that you have to walk through the first bedroom to get to the second bedroom and that you have to walk through both bedrooms to get to the sitting-room. If you prefer you can also reach the sitting-room from the garden.
The house is situated on a small family-run farm where the owner and her family live in their own house. Sauna and two showers are inside the house but the only toilet is an outdoors privy close to the house and equipped with electrical light. Some 20 meters from the house the owner have dug a 25 meters long pond, where you are welcome to bathe or swim. The Estonians do not hesitate to get in such a pond, we can not guarantee the quality of the water.
Behind the house is a stream and woods. There is a rubber boat, which you may rent after agreement with the owner. There are also bicycles for 10 people to rent. The west coast of Saaremaa is well suited for bicycling as the road along the shore has only little traffic. In front of the house is a green garden.
