A really cosy cottage by a little river where you may swim and fish. The house is built in 1990 in country style. The ground floor features a large room and upstairs there are two bedrooms. One bedroom is large and access to the smaller bedroom is through this room. The little bedroom has a balcony and the larger one has a table and benches by a window overlooking the river. There is also a third bedroom which doesn’t really count as it has only a straw bed for 2-4 people (you may try sleeping there if you wish to). On the ground floor there is also a sauna with shower and toilet and a kitchen with basic equipment. The standard in bathroom and kitchen is simple. Hot water is heated with the sauna (by firewood) and keeps warm all day. You wash the dishes in the bathroom. If you accept lower standard in bathroom and kitchen you will surely enjoy this cottage.
The owners live in their own house at the same farmstead but you need not pass their house when coming and leaving. Otherwise you need not see any neighbours. The owners also have a wood-working shop in the cottage but it has a separate entrance and you will not be disturbed. The farm is operational with animals such as sheep, a cow, hens, cats and dogs – lots of fun for the kids.
Right behind the cottage is the small river with a suspended bridge (for people only) accross it. Crossing the bridge you have a walk of 1.5-2 km to the lovely white beach, by car you have to drive through the woods and the distance to the beach is then some 16 km. We wish to inform you that Via Baltica, the main road between Tallinn, Pärnu and Riga is situated some 300 meters from the house. Although the sound of the traffic is well subdued by trees, you can not expect total quiet outdoors. In September there are plenty of berries and mushroom in the surrounding forrest.
The house is located some 11 km from Pärnu, the charming small town, often referred to as the summer capital of Estonia. In Pärnu you find a lovely white beach and well-developed tourism infrastructure with shops, restaurants and services. At a distance of 165 km, Riga, the capital of Latvia is a nice day-trip.
