This new cottage is located in southern Saaremaa, just 30 km from Kuressaare and 1,5 km from the sea, right on the border of the Laidevahe nature reserve. There is a beach 1,5 km from the house. The location is highly suitable for all who enjoy themselves on Saaremaa. Friends of nature and bird-watchers will find the location ideal. The house is built on a small farm where both traditionall and modern methods are used.
The house was finalized May 2005. The interior is custom built on location by local craftsmen using high-quality natural materials. On the ground floor there is toilet, bathroom, kitchen and a living-room with a large fireplace, a large sofa and a table. In addition there is a small study (good for storing empty suitcases). On the second floor are 4 bed-rooms, of which 2 are larger and 2 smaller. Each bed-room has 2 single beds, which can be placed side-by-side in the large bed-rooms. Additionally, there are two folding beds at your disposal.
On the farm lives also the nice cottage owners ni their own house. The garden behind the house is free from the owners’ view. In the garden, there is also a fireplace where you can enjoy sitting chatting on a chilly summers' eve. On the farm they keep animals, but most of them are out on the pastures in the summertime.
Laidevahe nature reserve is instituted to protect migrating bird, important spieces of fish and not least as a resort for the Estonian horse, a breed which is otherwise falling in numbers. Saaremaa feature many rare plants and most of them can be found in Laidevahe.
