A truly fabulous location right by the Baltic sea on Estonia’s west coast, in the bird-watchers paradise of Matsalu national park and with a splendid view of the sea. The house is of highest quality and suitable for two families. You can swim in shallow water from a rowing boat. In the bay in front of the house there is plenty of fish and the house’s owner will help you get the necessary permission for fishing if you desire (NB! Only until July 1st). The nearest bird-watching tower is some 100 meters from the house.
The house is old and has traditions that have been preserved when renovating the house. During renovation only natural materials have been used and only the best craftsmen have worked at the house, assisted by specialists from a nearby museum, ensuring a marvelous quality with historical roots. But of course, all modern comforts have been added. On the ground floor is the kitchen and living-room in open-plan solution. In the living-room you find an extraordinarily beautiful fireplace with hand-made bricks and a large long dining table. The firewood sauna is also on the ground floor right next to shower and WC. On the second floor there are two bedrooms with 4 beds each and additionally 2 folding beds are provided. There is also a second WC on the second floor. WiFi, wireless internet is accessible in the house.
The house is situated in the small village of Haeska with 5 households, one of the other houses is the dwelling of this house’s owner. Outdoors you have marvelous opportunities for most enjoyable moments. The seaside meadows are considered unique. Several hiking paths are available nearby and the visitors’ center of the Matsalu national park is not far away with its museum. The nearest town is the resort of Haapsalu, 23 km away. The location of this house is also very good for those who wish to explore Estonia by car, Pärnu is 90 km, Virtsu (with ferries to Saaremaa island)is 60 km, Rohuküla (with ferries to Hiiumaa and Vormsi islands) is 34 km and Tallinn is just over 90 km.
